Butterfield shares dip 4.9% on BSX

Shares of Butterfield Bank plunged 4.9 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The bank fell $1.75 to close on $34 on the trading of 1,624 shares.
Butterfield’s US-listed shares also fell, dipping 85 cents, or 2.44 per cent, to close on $34.01.
Devonshire Industries Ltd, owner of the Bermuda Paint Company, also fell by five cents, or 1.5 per cent, to close on a 52-week low of $3.25 as 2,300 shares changed hands. The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 78.73 points, or 3.37 per cent, to close on 2,258.21.
Trading volume totalled 3,924 shares and turnover was $62,691.
The BSX Insurance Index slid 20.06 points, or 1.15 per cent, to close on 1,718.64.
