Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares gained 15 cents, or 0.45 per cent, to close on $33.37 on the New York Stock Exchange. The bank last traded at $33.30 on the BSX.

The BSX Insurance Index added 9.26 points, or 0.53 per cent, to close on 1,745.99.
