Shares of Ascendant Group Ltd, the parent company of Belco, fell five cents, or 0.2 per cent, to $30, after 3,000 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

There was also trading in 500 shares of Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd, but with no change to the closing price of $1.01.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were down 85 cents, or 2.85 per cent, at $28.99.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 0.48 of a point, or 0.02 per cent, at 2,031.85, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 73.64 points, or 4.14 per cent, at 1,706.88.
