Argus Group shares slide 8.4%
Shares of Argus Group Holdings Ltd slid 8.4 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The insurer fell 24 cents to close on $2.62 as 9,600 shares changed hands. The decline in price caused Argus’s annualised dividend yield to climb to 6.87 per cent, according to BSX’s daily trade report.
Ascendant Group Ltd gained 30 cents, or 1 per cent, to close on $30.30 on the trading of 135 shares.
One Communications Ltd remained unchanged on $3.75 as 15,000 shares were traded.
Butterfield Bank remained unchanged on $26.90 as 11 shares changed hands. The bank’s US-listed shares fell for the fourth successive day, this time by 41 cents, or 1.57 per cent, to close on $25.70 on the New York Stock Exchange on higher than average volume of 418,612 shares.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 1.9 points, or 0.1 per cent, to close on 1,902.01. For the week, the index slumped 7.14 per cent, driven primarily by a 9.6 per cent fall in the price of Butterfield shares over the five days of trading.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 83.94 points, or 4.88 per cent, to close on 1,636.77.
