Ascendant Group Limited was the only stock to trade on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, with 1,500 shares changing hands, but with no impact on the closing price of $30.25.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were up $1.37, or 7.47 per cent, at $19.70.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 1,542.73, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 36.54, or 3.14 per cent, at 1200.34.
