Shares of Argus Group Holdings Ltd gained 7 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The insurer, the only stock to trade on the BSX, climbed 15 cents to close on $2.30 on the trading of 58,900 shares.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index added three points, or 0.15 per cent, to close on 1,955.71.

The BSX Insurance Index fell 51.58 points, or 3.39 per cent, to close the day on 1,472.05.

The US-listed shares of Butterfield Bank fell $1.33, or 4.81 per cent, to close at $26.32 on the New York Stock Exchange, as 238,250 shares traded.

Butterfield last traded on the BSX at $28.05.
