Butterfield shares jump on BSX

Butterfield Bank shares jumped $2, or 7.7 per cent, to $28 after 401 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
In New York, the bank’s shares were up two cents, or 0.07 per cent, at $28.28.
On the local exchange, a total of 2,332 shares of BF&M Ltd were traded, but with no change to the closing price of $18, while 65 shares of LOM Financial Ltd changed hands, but without affecting the closing price of $2.80.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 89.95 points, or 4.78 per cent, at 1,970.02, while the BSX Insurance Index climbed 21.33 points, or 1.48 per cent, to 1,457.02.
