Butterfield shares edge higher in New York

No shares traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange as The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 1,885.75.
The US-listed shares of Butterfield Bank gained ten cents, or 0.33 per cent, to close on $30.77 on the New York Stock Exchange, as 586,313 shares changed hands — more than double the recent average volume.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 4.03 points, or 0.25 per cent, to close on 1,617.51.
The RG/BSX Index was virtually flat over the full week of trading as well, falling by just 0.85 of a point. The biggest movers over the five days were Argus Group Holdings, which fell 6.2 per cent, and fellow insurer BF&M, which climbed 2.6 per cent.
