Butterfield shares fall 4%

Shares of Butterfield Bank fell $1.60, or 4 per cent, to $38 after 1,194 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were down 56 cents, or 1.48 per cent, at $37.20.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 85.82 points, or 3.21 per cent, at 2,583.78, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 1.04 points, or 0.06 per cent at 1,668.06.
