Butterfield shares gain 0.4% in New York

No shares traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange on Friday as The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 2,594.91.
The US-listed shares of Butterfield Bank rose 15 cents, or 0.4 per cent, to close on $37.44 on the New York Stock Exchange, as 100,648 shares changed hands. Butterfield last traded on the BSX at $38.25.
For the week, the index fell 18.26 points, or 0.7 per cent, driven by an 8.3 per cent fall in the value of BF&M, which closed on $22.
The BSX Insurance Index gained 6.28 points, or 0.37 per cent on Friday.
