Bank shares finish lower

The RG/BSX Index closed down 13.50 points (0.53 per cent) at 2,546.38 on share volume of 7,310, representing turnover of $212,983.
The Bank of Butterfield closed down 25 cents at $36.25 after 3,810 shares traded.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank finished eight cents (0.25 per cent) lower at $31.41 after more than 66,000 shares changed hands.
The BSX Insurance Index remained unquoted.
