BSX index slides lower

The RG/BSX Index slumped 26.82 points (1.05 per cent) to 2,529.58 as 1,198 ($43,128.00) Bank of Butterfield shares traded, with the stock closing down 50 cents to $36 on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The Bank of Butterfield finished down 25 cents (0.69 per cent) on the New York Stock Exchange, closing at $36.11.
The BSX Insurance Index was not quoted.
The Bermuda Stock Exchange index fell 26.82 points to close at 2,529.58
