Bank shares down in New York

The RG/BSX index closed up 31.46 (1.24 per cent) for the day at 2,564.97 after three stocks traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
Up 20 cents (3.3 per cent) at $6.30 at the close were shares in Argus Group Holdings Ltd, on a volume of 18,000.
Down 25 cents (6.7 per cent) was Devonshire Industries Ltd. which closed at $3.50.
Bank of N.T. Butterfield Ltd was up 50 cents (1.3 per cent), closing at $38 after 183 shares changed hands.
In New York, Butterfield closed down 57 cents (1.46 per cent) to end the day at $38.40 on the New York Stock Exchange.
RG/BSX Index: activity on the Bermuda Stock Exchange pushed the index up
