Butterfield shares rise on NYSE

Butterfield Bank shares closed up 56 cents at $29.72 yesterday in moderate trading on the New York Stock Exchange after rising to $30.37 earlier in the day.
A total of 148,174 shares were traded.
The Bermuda Stock Exchange Index was unchanged at 2,218 as no shares traded.
