Bank stock falls on NYSE

The RG/BSX Index rose 149.49 (6.69 per cent) to 2,382.30, driven higher by Bank of N.T. Butterfield Ltd, which was up $3 (10 per cent) to $33 on the trading of 689 shares.

It was countered by BF&M Ltd, which closed at $22, down by $1.25 (5.4 per cent) on trading of 30,000 shares.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank finished down 29 cents (0.87 per cent) to close at $33.01.
