Bank stock on the rise

The RG/BSX Index rose 40.22 (1.69 per cent) to 2,423.39, spurred by the advance of the only issue trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange for the day, Bank of N.T. Butterfield Ltd, which rose 75 cents (2.3 per cent) to $33.75 after 200 shares changed hands.
In New York, the bank share price rose 18 cents (0.54 per cent) to close at $33.46 on the New York Stock Exchange.
