Butterfield up at the close

The RG/BSX Index moved up 58.71 points (2.35 per cent) to end the week at 2,493.27.
The only activity on the Bermuda Stock Exchange Friday involved West Hamilton Holdings Ltd. which concluded with a 50 cent increase in the price (7.1 per cent) to $7.50 after trading of 1,500 shares (3,000 for the week).
Other weekly figures showed that BF&M Ltd. fell a dollar (4.5 per cent) to $21.00 on trading of 800 shares.
But Bank of N.T. Butterfield Ltd. rose $1.25 (3.7 per cent) to $35.00 after 564 shares changed hands, as advances led declines two-to-one on the BSX.
Meanwhile, overseas a rally at the close put Butterfield up 17 cents (0.50 per cent) to $34.15 on the New York Stock Exchange.
