Butterfield gains 2.5% in New York

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 2.3 per cent for the week to close on 2,436.96.
The Bank of NT Butterfield & Son fell $1.05, or 3 per cent, to close on $33.95, as 500 of its shares changed hands over the five days of trading. Butterfield was the only issuer to trade.
On Friday, there was no trading on the BSX.
Butterfield’s US-listed shares gained 84 cents, or 2.5 per cent, to close at $34.35 on the New York Stock Exchange on Friday. The bank will release its third-quarter earnings report after the NYSE closes next Monday.
