Butterfield drifts lower on the NYSE

Bank rise: Butterfield shares rose on the BSX
The RG/BSX Index rose 26.82 (1.16 per cent) Wednesday to close at 2,339.21, pushed higher by N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited, which closed at $32.50, up 50 cents (1.6 per cent) on trading of 1,571 shares on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank fell 58 cents (1.72 per cent) to finish at $33.16 .
