Butterfield closes lower in New York

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index rose 132.88 points (6.04 per cent) to close the week at 2,199.38

The RG/BSX finished the week 132.88 points (6.04 per cent) higher at 2,199.38, after a share volume of 16,500 valued at a turnover of $104,945 on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

Leading the advance was Bank of N.T. Butterfield Ltd. which closed up $2.50 (9.1 per cent) at $30 on the trading of 200 shares.

Insurance stock trades included BF&M Ltd., finishing unchanged at $20 after 800 shares changed hands.

And Argus Group Holdings Ltd. was down a nickel (0.9 per cent) to $5.50 on a volume of 15,500.

In New York, the bank fell 42 cents (1.61 per cent) on Friday to close the week at $25.65 on the New York Stock Exchange.
