BF&M and Argus shares snapped up

The RG/BSX Index closed on Monday at 2,086.77, up 12.50 points

Blocks of shares of Bermuda’s leading domestic insurers were on the move in the wake of boardroom moves and counter moves involving the two companies.

The RG/BSX Index closed on Monday at 2,086.77, up 12.50 points (0.60 per cent).

Some 474,724 shares in Argus Group Holdings Ltd changed hands on the Bermuda Stock Exchange Monday as Argus stock closed at $6.15, down a nickel (0.8 per cent).

Meanwhile, 15,000 BF&M shares were traded, with the stock closing $1.50 (6.5 per cent) higher at $24.50.

The total turnover for the day on the BSX was $3,508,341.60.

Overseas, Butterfield Bank closed up 59 cents (2.20 per cent) at $27.40 on the New York Stock Exchange.
