Butterfield finishes the week lower

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 12 points for the week

The RG/BSX Index finished 26.82 (1.27 per cent) lower Friday at 2,086.27, with 150 shares ($4,062.50) trading for the day on the Bermuda Stock Exchange. The only stock moving was Bank of N.T. Butterfield Ltd, down 50 cents (1.8 per cent) to close at $27 after 150 shares changed hands.

For the week, the Index was up 12 points (0.57 per cent) as 493,054 shares traded, valued at $3,551,654.14.

Argus Group Holdings Ltd was the big mover, with 474,724 shares sold, with the price closing at $6.15, down a nickel (0.8 per cent)

BF&M Ltd closed at $24.49, up $1.49 or 6.5 per cent on a trading volume of 16,000.

The other two movers were Bank of N.T. Butterfield, closing at $26, down a penny after 330 shares changed hands. Devonshire Industries closed 25 cents (5.3 per cent) higher at $5, after 2,000 shares traded.

Butterfield was down 75 cents (2.78 per cent) to $26.24 on the New York Stock Exchange.
