Some 1,127 shares in Bank of NT Butterfield Ltd changed hands on the Bermuda Stock Exchange. The stock closed at $32.50, up a dollar (3.2 per cent).
In a filing with the BSX, the bank advised that during the month of December 2023, it repurchased for cancellation 338,740 common shares at an average price of $31.44 per share.
Overseas, Butterfield Bank closed up 19 cents (0.61 per cent) at $31.29 on the New York Stock Exchange.
