Bank share price floats higher
The RG/BSX Index closed Monday up 53.63 (2.52 per cent) at 2,186.10 after 1,000 Bank of NT Butterfield Ltd shares ($29,000) were traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange. The bank closed a dollar higher at $29.00 (3.6 per cent).
Butterfield closed up 72 cents (2.45 per cent) at $30.08 on the New York Stock Exchange, after more than 300,000 shares changed hands.
The Bermuda Stock Exchange has announced the suspension of listing and trading on the BSX of the common shares issued by Veritas Group Limited.
The suspension begins tomorrow and remains in place until further notice.
A statement said: “The BSX is of the opinion that a suspension from listing and trading is necessary for the protection of investors, due to a failure by the issuer to comply, in a manner which the exchange considers material, with the listing regulations.”
