The RG/BSX Index closed today unchanged at 2,625.62 after no trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
In a filing with the BSX, Somers Ltd announced that during August, the company purchased 119,000 of its own common shares at an average cost of $13.43 per share. The shares will be cancelled with immediate effect.
Also in a filing with the BSX, Watlington Waterworks Ltd announced that a dividend in the amount of $0.25 per share will be declared to shareholders of record as at September 13. The payment date will be September 27.
Overseas, Butterfield Bank closed down 37 cents (0.98 per cent) at $37.40 on the New York Stock Exchange.
