Butterfield down on NYSE
The RG/BSX Index closed today up 26.82 points (1.09 per cent) at 2,487.16.
Three hundred shares in Bank of NT Butterfield changed hands on the Bermuda Stock Exchange. The stock closed at $35.75, up 50 cents (1.4 per cent).
In a filing with the BSX, Argus Group Holdings Ltd announced that Kim Wilkerson resigned from the company’s board of directors after her appointment as the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice.
Also, in a filing with the BSX, Somers Ltd announced that its board of directors has authorised the repurchase of up to 250,000 shares through a further buyback programme. This new programme will replace the existing year’s programme, will run until October 10, 2025, and is being implemented for the purpose of improving shareholder liquidity.
Overseas, Butterfield Bank closed down four cents (0.11 per cent) at $36.60 on the New York Stock Exchange.
