The RG/BSX Index closed today unchanged at 2,498.47 after no trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
For the week, the Index was down 40.23 points (1.61 per cent) on share volume of 7,096 and total turnover of $254,222.75.
In a filing with the BSX, Butterfield Bank said it repurchased for cancellation 490,527 common shares at an average price of $37.24 per share in December.
Overseas, Butterfield closed up 37 cents (1.02 per cent) at $36.72 on the New York Stock Exchange.
