Butterfield shares rise on BSX

Shares of Butterfield Bank were up 25 cents, or 1 per cent, to $25.25 after 516 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were up 34 cents, or 1.35 per cent, at $25.49.
On the local exchange, there was trading in 300 shares of BF&M Ltd, but with no change to the closing price of $18.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 11.24 points, or 0.61 per cent, at 1,842.94, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 28.44 points, or 2.05 per cent, at 1,418.37.
