Digicel cuts staff to save costs

Telecommunications company Digicel is to make ten staff redundant.
A spokesman for the company said the cuts were being made to “optimise our cost base”.
He added: “We can confirm that in the coming weeks ten staff members will be made redundant out of a total of 158 staff in Bermuda.”
The spokesman said: “As a digital operator, our commitment is to deliver 1,440 minutes of digital engagement to our customers via our suite of eight apps and our superior networks.
“To ensure we deliver the best experience to our customers, we are continually reviewing and optimising our cost base across our markets.”
