IoD opens up for would-be directors
The Institute of Directors Bermuda hold a special “Meet and Greet” on Tuesday afternoon for those interested in learning more about their Certificate in Company Direction programme and the 2022 CICD Cohort – a new initiative designed to engage more people in the course.
The event is open to all, members and non-members, who are interested developing their knowledge and skills as a board director and also expanding their opportunities as a non-executive director.
“There will be IoD members who have completed all three levels of certification, CICD, Diploma and Chartered, on hand to share their experiences and answer questions,” says Danielle Riviere, IoD Bermuda executive director.
“Of course, our events are excellent networking opportunities for all board directors and anyone interested in becoming one.”
The CICD is the first of the three levels of certification offered through IoD Bermuda – the others being the Diploma in Company Directions and the Chartered Director.
The modular programme encompasses the core knowledge and awareness that is necessary to function effectively as a board director.
The CICD Cohort is an opportunity for 20 people to complete the CICD process as a group and enjoy the benefits of camaraderie, networking and support.
“This is a new endeavour for IoD Bermuda as we continue to explore ways to enhance our professional development programme,” continued Ms Riviere.
“The cohort has a number of unique benefits that we look forward to sharing with people at the Meet and Greet.”
The event takes place from 4:00pm – 5:15pm at the KPMG Training Room on Tuesday. (executivedirector@iod.bm)
