Nutrition tips for high performance professionals
The Bermuda Health Council is introducing “Nutrition for High Performance Professionals” in a Facebook format.
The council said it was promoting the simple message of how eating optimally would transform anyone’s professional and personal life.
In collaboration with local medical doctors and health professionals, the council is offering a series of free webinars on disease prevention, health disparities and mental health.
There are others to follow, but the council said that each event was a unique opportunity to engage with health experts on the island.
RSVP is not required for the online presentations. The first one is billed as an engaging, action-oriented webinar will on Wednesday at 12pm with Agathe Holowatinc, Director of Fuelled Bermuda Ltd.
Nutrition for High Performance Professionals includes learning objectives: how eating optimally will transform your professional and personal life; being mindful of tips for the office and what to do when stressed and low on time; and helping claim a nutritional advantage.
Then on Wednesday, August 17 at 12pm, the topic is Diabetes and Your Feet, with Natalie Bennett, MSC, MPH.
The learning objectives include understanding diabetic foot risk factors; discovering effective self care for the feet; and recognising when to see a podiatrist.
On Wednesday, August 24 at 12pm, the series changes gears and presents Introduction to Better Breathing by presenter Joanne Wohlmuth, MA, E-RYT-500, C-IAYT, YACEP.
The learning objectives include: understanding the direct association of the breath and the mind; learning the difference between voluntary and involuntary breathing; and , receiving techniques on how to breathe better.
