Hamilton Princess & Beach Club nominated for historic hotels award

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club is among the nominees in the “best social media of an historic hotel” category for the 2022 Historic Hotels Worldwide Awards of Excellence.

The Princess, which opened on January 1 in 1885, faces competition from 12 other hotels.

The other nominees are Dromoland Castle Hotel, County Clare, Ireland; San Clemente Palace Kempinski, Venice; Hotel Maximilian’s, Augsburg, Germany; The Great House Antigua, Saint Peter, Antigua and Barbuda; Pulitzer Amsterdam; Hilton Molino Stucky Venice; The Savoy London; Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, Charlevoix, Canada; Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian; Fairmont Empress, Victoria, Canada; Hotel New Grand, Yokohama; and Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

Nominee finalists were selected by the awards committee from more than 350 nominations received from historic hotels, preservation supporters, prior award recipients, community leaders, and leadership from Historic Hotels Worldwide.

The awards ceremony will take place at Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, Autograph Collection in Point Clear, Alabama, on November 17.

The hotel, which opened in 1847, is set on 550 acres next to Mobile Bay.
