RA head joins BAC group of companies as new CEO

The head of the Regulatory Authority has been appointed the chief executive officer of the BAC group of companies.

Denton Williams, who will take up the post on Monday, has also served as chief operations officer of energy supplier Belco.

While at the RA, Mr Williams was responsible for the launch of several important initiatives, including setting the trajectory for the regulation of submarine cables, fuel and broadcasting in Bermuda.

Mr Williams is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the Institute of Engineering Technology. He holds a BSc in information technology, an MBA in corporate finance and has also completed an executive management programme at Stanford University.

Grant Gibbons, the president of the BAC group of companies, said: “We’re very pleased to have Mr Williams join the team. His expertise and leadership will support the group as it moves into its next phase of development.”
