Appleby, the international law firm, has received a certification of its commitment to becoming more environmentally sustainable.

The firm achieved a Planet Mark Business Certification, demonstrating its commitment to “measuring and reducing their carbon emissions, ultimately contributing to Appleby’s environmental, social, and governance capability.”

The Planet Mark Business Certification is a recognised symbol of sustainability progress.

Appleby will work with Planet Mark to achieve the group’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions by at least 2.5 per cent each year through measures in areas such as energy consumption, waste and water usage.

Founded by Steve Malkin, CEO of the Eden Project, an eco-tourism operation, Planet Mark Limited is a for-profit environmental consulting company that analyses data on companies' emissions to certify their commitment to carbon reduction.
