Appleby, the international law firm, has been named a finalist for International Legal Team of the Year, Midsize, at the Step Private Client Awards.

The awards recognise excellence in the field of private client law, which involves providing legal advice and guidance to individuals on matters related to wealth management, wills, trusts and probate.

The award competition is run by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the international professional body for advisers who specialise in inheritance and succession planning.

Carlos de Serpa Pimentel, Appleby Global head of private client and trusts, said: “To be named a finalist at the Step Private Client Awards is a major endorsement of the quality of our global private client and trusts team at Appleby, and the high standards of client service we are offering across all our international offices."

Won last year by a British law firm, this year’s winner will be announced in September at a ceremony in London.
