Cambridge Beaches welcomes new chef
Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa has an award-winning new executive chef.
James Wambui, a Kenyan national, most recently plied his craft for two years at Huckleberry Restaurant at The Rosedon hotel, then at The Cloud at The Waterfront.
This year, Mr Wambui was given the Best Chef of Bermuda distinction by The Bermudian magazine.
The hotel said: “James brings his wealth of experience, creativity and passion for creating unforgettable gastronomic adventures.
“Under his guidance, the resort aims to redefine the boundaries of culinary excellence, ensuring that discerning guests enjoy a symphony of flavours that will linger in their hearts”.
Cambridge Beaches also introduced its new dishes, the Silk Road Taste Series.
A statement from Cambridge Beaches noted: “James's extraordinary journey in the culinary world began in the vibrant city of Nairobi, Kenya, where his family's reverence for food shaped his deep appreciation for the culinary arts.
“Over the years, he has honed his craft, mastering classical French cuisine, exploring the realms of molecular gastronomy and immersing himself in the essence of Italian cooking.
“His outstanding achievements include leading the Huckleberry Restaurant at the prestigious Rosedon Hotel to become Bermuda's foremost dining destination and being awarded the Best Chef Bermuda 2023 distinction by The Bermudian magazine.”
