Abic expresses support for Pride

The Association of Bermuda International Companies said it will join OutBermuda in celebrating Bermuda Pride 2022 later this month.

In a statement Abic said: “As businesses in Bermuda, we strive to ensure that everyone is treated fairly, equitably, and is protected by the same human rights.

“This applies to our commercial partners around the world, employees within our organisations, and families and friends in the communities where we operate – we believe celebrating Pride is one clear way that we can show our allyship to the LGBTQ+ community in Bermuda.

“People are our most important asset, and it is critical that all our employees feel safe, respected, valued, and able to succeed personally and professionally in Bermuda. If a team member feels unheard, unseen or unfairly treated, that hurts us all.

“We believe there are profound, long-term benefits to diversity in our workplaces and that a socially progressive and inclusive Bermuda is better for all of its people.

ABIC represents more than 120 international companies incorporated in Bermuda.
