A motorcyclist injured after crashing into a roundabout in Devonshire is now recovering on a general ward.

The 23-year-old man, from Devonshire, suffered a serious head injury in the incident at the junction of North Shore Road and Barkers Hill at 1.45am yesterday.

He was initially admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, but today police said he had been transferred to a general ward.
