A woman suffered a hand injury this afternoon when her car overturned near the entrance to the Town of St George.

According to a police spokesman, the incident happened at around 3pm as the driver was travelling along Wellington Street towards the town near the entrance to Tiger Bay.

The spokesman said: “The lone female occupant sustained a minor injury to her right hand.

“She was attended to at the scene by emergency personnel. No other vehicles were involved.”
