Jet skier dies after Morgan’s Point incident
A 27-year-old man died in a jet ski accident last night.
The man was rushed to shore and taken by ambulance to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors.
A police spokesman said emergency services received reports of an accident in the Morgan’s Point area of Southampton just after 7pm. The spokesman said: “It was reported that a 27-year-old male was injured and unconscious. Emergency medical services staff and on-duty coastguard personnel were informed.”
The man was taken to Jews Bay and transferred to a waiting ambulance.
The spokesman said no further information would be released until the next of kin was notified.
