Man threw eggs at stranger's car parked on his property
A 25-year-old Warwick man admitted causing more than $3,000 of damage to a car because it was parked on his property.Levi Perry, from Banana Lane, pleaded guilty to causing willful damage by throwing rocks and eggs at the car.According to Crown counsel Larissa Burgess, Talia Braithwaite had parked her car on Banana Lane on November 19 while she visited a friend, but came outside when she heard a loud noise.When she stepped outside, she saw egg yolk on her car and Perry standing nearby. He then allegedly shouted: “You shouldn't have been parked here you stupid b***h.”The total damage to the car was estimated at $3,335.Appearing in Magistrates' Court, Perry pleaded guilty to causing willful damage, but said he had spoken with the complainant and had arranged to help her pay for the damage.Asked why he did it, he said it was because she parked on his property.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner responded: “So what? You think you can just destroy her car?“Let me tell you something, sir. You damaged this person's car out of stupidity and arrogance and you have shown no contrition.”Mr Warner fined Perry $500 and ordered him to pay the victim the full value of the damage.
