Soldiers are warned after failing to attend Regiment

Two Bermuda Regiment soldiers have been given suspended sentences in Magistrates’ Court for failure to attend.John William Holland, 21, of White Sands Road, Paget, did not appear at Warwick Camp on 15 occasions between October 26 and March 29.He apologised to the court and told Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner he was making up for the time he’d missed.Davonne Craig Norman Daniels, 25, of Devonshire, pleaded guilty to missing training 75 times between February 3, 2009, and March 29 this year.Mr Warner gave both men three-month prison terms, suspended for the next two years.He warned each that their sentences would be activated if they appeared in court again.
