Drink driver gets road ban and fine

A Sandys man was banned from the roads and fined $800 for impaired driving.Charles Fubler, 37, of Pleasantville Lane, pleaded guilty in Magistrates’ Court to drunk driving.Prosecutor Karen King said that on September 15, police saw the defendant driving on Loyalty Estate Road. When the officers stopped him, he admitted he had “had one drink”.The officers informed the defendant that he was under arrest because they had probable grounds to believe that he was driving while impaired.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner fined the defendant $800 and banned him from driving all vehicles for one year.
