A 55-year old Sandys man was this morning charged with firearm offences when he appeared in Magistrates' Court.Terrence Eugene Thomas was not required to enter a plea to the indictable offences which will go to Supreme Court.He was charged with handling a .38 calibre gun and nine rounds of ammunition between April 1 and April 24. He was also charged with handling the firearm and ammunition as a person who has a criminal conviction for a violent offence.Asked if he has retained a lawyer the defendant said he has spoken to Charles Richardson.The case was adjourned to May 13. The defendant was remanded in custody.
