Man jailed four years for sex with underage girl
A Pembroke man who admitted having sex with an underage girl was this morning jailed for four years.
Kishauni Wolffe, 28, pleaded guilty earlier this year to three counts of having unlawful carnal knowledge with a girl under the age of 16.
He met the teenager on Facebook, less than a month after being released from prison.
The victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said they had sex as many as 15 times over a period of several months in 2012. The relationship was revealed after she confessed to her mother that she was pregnant.
Wolffe was arrested and admitted the offence, but DNA tests later revealed he was not the child’s father.
The court heard that Wolffe had fathered a child with an underage girl when he was 17, but no charges were pressed on that occasion.
Delivering his sentence, Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves said: “This defendant has a history that suggests when he is in the presence of young girls, they should run. He’s clearly a predator of whom young ladies should beware.”
He noted Wolffe’s early guilty plea, which saved the victim from having to testify before the courts, but said there were numerous aggravating factors, including his history and his likelihood of reoffending.
Mr Justice Greaves sentenced Wolffe to four years in prison for each offence, ordering that they run concurrently. The eight months Wolffe has already spent in custody will be taken into account.
As the defendant stood to exit the court, Mr Justice Greaves told him: “You are a big man. Leave the little children alone.”
