A Southampton man was fined $1,000 in Magistrates’ Court yesterday after pleading guilty to possessing 0.36 grams of cocaine.

Jahroy Simons, 27, was arrested in February after police found him with several paper twists of white powder that were later confirmed to be cocaine.

Prosecutor Cindy Clarke said police observed Simons walking along Wreck View Road in Devonshire on February 16 around 11.30pm.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner fined the man $1,000 with three months imprisonment in default.
