A Southampton man has been charged with possessing more than $6,000 in cannabis and cocaine.

Rickai Swan, 24, denied possessing drug paraphernalia intended for use in connection with the preparation of a controlled drug, as well as possessing $2,000 worth of cocaine, and $4,225 worth of cannabis, prosecutor Nicole Smith told the court this morning.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo released Mr Swan on $5,000 bail with one surety, setting trial for August 15.
