A Southampton man has been fined $800 for having cannabis.

D’Lontay Landy, 21, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug in Magistrates’ Court. He was stopped by police officers on April 25 this year after he was spotted walking around shirtless, and pushing a pedal bike.

He handed over 0.73 grams of cannabis and was arrested.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered Landy to pay his fine by September 26.
