The trial of a prisoner accused of having cannabis in jail has been rolled over until next month.
Noet Barnett, 27, is charged with having 0.8 grams of the drug while in Westgate, which is an increased penalty zone.
His trial was supposed to begin yesterday afternoon but was rolled over by Magistrate Tyrone Chin until October 15.
It was decided there would not be enough time to cover the case yesterday after another matter involving a different defendant was dealt with.
Mr Barnett is being represented by Elizabeth Christopher, while the case is being prosecuted by Carrington Mahoney.
The defendant was remanded in custody.
