A 20-year-old man denied threatening to kill a police officer when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court today.

Treymayne Bean, of Southcourt Avenue, Paget, is accused of telling Pc Terry Thompson on Friday on Front Street: “I’m going to kill you. I’m a gang member.”

He pleaded not guilty to using threatening words in a public place, assaulting the officer, violently resisting arrest and wilfully obstructing Pc Thompson.

A trial date was set for February 18 and he was granted bail in the sum of $4,000 with a surety in the same amount.
